Artist Statement

Recevik currently focuses on found-object art, multimedia constructions, and painting. His work frequently explores themes of memory, material decay, and existential change by repurposing discarded items into intricate assemblage pieces. His latest collection bridges early 20th-century avant-garde traditions—such as Suprematism and Russian Constructivism—with contemporary non-objective abstraction. By placing geometric forms within unrelated environments, he manipulates spatial perception; he uses lighter, cooler tones to project distance while darker, warmer shades compress space, effectively blurring the boundaries between physical environment and the canvas.
